Christmas Eve 2008

We spent Christmas Eve at Aunt Martha's this year and had an extra special visit from Santa! The kids each got a present and told Santa what they want this year. Of course they have all been good:)
In the pictures with Nola, is her cousin Paige who be three in January.
The other is the first one I've taken with my new glasses:)

Sledding

The first decent snow of the year was cause for celebration and of course SLEDDING!
The kids had a great time and after enjoyed hot chocolate with plenty of whipped cream:)

Santa 2008

Nola did well this year with Santa. Last year she wanted nothing to do with him. She told Santa that she wants, "presents". Brody wants an itouch which is a bit steep for Santa with the other stuff on his list:)

Fun Run

Brody's school had a fundraiser where students earned money for the school by running laps around the field. A student could be sponsored by a flat donation or per lap. Brody ended up running 41 laps which was the second most for the 2nd grade boys! He was SO proud and here he is receiving a silver medal. The school raised over $44,000!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Halloween

This year for Halloween we had some of the best weather in years. It was in the high 70s during the day so we were able to trick or treat without jackets! Nola chose to be a princess and Brody a skeleton. They went around the street to all of their friend's houses and loaded up buckets full of candy!

Nola writes her name!

Nola LOVES to color and write, read, etc. I wrote her name for her to copy on the "Magna Doodle" and look what she did! She was really happy and has now perfected it even more.

Red Rocks

Each year we are trying to keep up with the ol' family photos. This time we went up to Red Rocks Amphitheater and had a lot of fun. If you have never been here, it is absolutely gorgeous, and the best place to see a concert!
Brody turned 8 in June and Nola was 3 in October. They are doing well and love Colorado as much as we do.

Kayaking on Grand Lake

We spent a week up in Grand Lake in July and Brody kayaked for the first time and absolutely loved it! Here he is with "Ees" having so much fun:)

Nola's 3rd Birthday

Nola celebrated her 3rd birthday on October 12th and was THE happiest girl in the world!
Here is a little clip of the "Happy Birthday" song and her thrilled little face as we all sang to her. (By the way, at the end, she was fine and did not burn her little lips:) )
